This policy explains how cancellations, transfers, missed training and Academy-initiated changes are handled. It applies with the Course Booking Terms and does not reduce any statutory consumer rights.

1. Statutory 14-day cancellation period

Where a consumer books training at a distance, a 14-day statutory cancellation period will normally apply from the day after the contract is entered into. A valid cancellation made within that period will be dealt with in accordance with consumer law.

If you expressly ask us to begin providing the service during the 14-day period and then cancel after performance has started, we may deduct a proportionate amount for services already supplied. If the service has been fully performed following the required request and acknowledgement, the statutory cancellation right may have ended.

2. Cancelling after the statutory period

If you cancel after any statutory cancellation period has ended, Blush Academy may retain or charge only an amount that reasonably reflects the direct loss caused by the cancellation, taking account of costs already incurred, costs saved and whether the place can reasonably be resold. A deposit is not automatically forfeited simply because it was described as a deposit.

3. Transfers to another training date

One transfer to another available date is permitted where you give at least 7 calendar days’ notice before the booked training date. The replacement date must be agreed with Blush Academy and is subject to availability.

Where fewer than 7 days’ notice is given, a transfer is not guaranteed. We will consider the circumstances and any direct, non-recoverable costs already incurred. Any charge will be reasonable and will not exceed the loss caused by the late change.

4. Non-attendance and late arrival

If you do not attend and have not cancelled or transferred the booking, the booking will be treated as a late cancellation. We may retain an amount that reflects our actual loss, including a place that could not reasonably be resold and non-recoverable course costs.

If you arrive late, we will try to accommodate you where it is safe and practical to do so. If the missed content is too substantial for the training or assessment to be completed safely, a transfer or further training may be required.

5. Illness and emergencies

If illness or a genuine emergency prevents attendance, contact us as soon as possible. We will consider reasonable evidence and the circumstances when deciding whether a transfer, refund or charge is appropriate. This does not affect statutory rights.

6. If Blush Academy cancels or materially changes a course

If Blush Academy cancels training, you can choose an available replacement date or a refund of the amount paid for the cancelled training. We do not charge a cancellation fee where Blush Academy cancels the course.

If events outside our reasonable control prevent training from taking place as planned, we will contact affected students as soon as reasonably possible and offer a fair alternative. If we cannot provide the contracted training within a reasonable time, the appropriate refund rights will apply.

7. Refund method

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method. Where Klarna, Clearpay or another finance/payment provider was used, the provider may control the timing and adjustment of instalments once we have processed the refund through the original transaction.

8. How to cancel or request a transfer

Contact Blush Academy through the Contact page and provide your name, course, training date and order number. We will confirm any agreed cancellation, transfer or refund in writing.
